Information for Parents considering Adoption of their child

Front cover of the printed version of the booklet
If you are considering relinquishing your child for adoption, this Information for Parents Considering Adoption of Their Child will help. It contains detailed information about your rights, the processes involved in adoption, and access and information exchange arrangements.

Contacting an Adoption Service

You can contact an adoption service at any time before or after the birth of your child. Sometimes another person, for example, a hospital social worker may make initial enquiries on your behalf if you wish. The adoption service will then make direct contact with you.

All contact is confidential. Contact the Adoption and Permanent Care Team in your area.
