Partnering Agreement - School Attendance and Engagement of Children and Young People in Out of Home Care
The Partnering Agreement reinforces good practice and offers strategies to strengthen the response to the educational issues and social needs of children and young people in out of home care. The Agreement attempts to promote this practice across the state by strengthening and clarifying the roles and relationships of both Departments at a central, regional and local level. It also provides an opportunity to monitor the educational achievement and attendance of young people in out of home care more closely, enabling schools to use a more targeted approach in addressing issues.
