Child protection champions
The hard work and dedication of our child protection workers was recently recognised at the fifth annual Protecting Children Awards at the Melbourne Town Hall.
Close to ninety people attended the luncheon, hosted by Paul McDonald, Executive Director Children, Youth and Families Division, Department of Human Services.

The Principle Practitioner Outstanding Excellence Award was awarded to Angela Kambouris, Unit Manager from the Streetworks Outreach Service. Angela "demonstrates consistently high quality practice, child focus and inclusive and respectful work,' said presenter Robyn Miller.
A special award was also presented to Lynne McPherson in recognition of her valuable contribution and commitment to Victoria's Child Protection Program.
Awards and certificates were presented to staff from each region in a number of categories.
