The ecec Learning and Development Strategy [PDF, 936kb] aimed to provide a sustainable learning and development platform for the ecec reforms. The goal of the strategy was to enable Victoria’s child protection, placement and support and family services staff to become more attuned to children’s best interests, more able to provide safety and stability, better equipped to promote children’s development, and to deliver services collaboratively.
The Learning and Development Strategy outlined a phased approach to ensure adequate preparation for the reforms, intensive practical training and flexible learning opportunities for practitioners to reinforce and sustain new learning. Three phases have previously been agreed as part of the Learning and Development Strategy (timelines have altered):
