IRIS Family Services User Manual

The Integrated Reports & Information System (IRIS) used by Family Services to record all hours of service provided to clients underwent an upgrade in April 2007 to comply with the provisions of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and the Strategic Framework for Family Services.
IRIS Training is provided by the Information and Information Management Team for all IRIS Users (this includes all DHS programs that use IRIS, not only Family Services)
The training notes that are provided at these training sessions cover the following topics and can be downloaded here to be added to your Family Services IRIS Users Manual.

An IRIS Family Services Users manual has been provided to support practitioners in their use of the upgraded IRIS.
The IRIS Family Services User Manual contains four sections:
- Data Dictionary (IRIS terms, definitions, counting rules and interpretation)
- Procedure Notes (Step by Step instructions for recording, transferring and reporting IRIS data)
- Upgrade Training (Presentation given to support decisions and their application to IRIS)
- Practice Advice (Summary sheets to support components of practical application - to be updated as required)
