Registration Standards for CSOs

The Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 provides for the Minister to determine performance standards for registered community service organisations. The registration standards were developed in consultation with the Registration Reference Group, the Placement and Support and Family Services branches of Child Protection and Family Services, regions, community service organisations and Aboriginal community controlled organisations.

The registration standards replace the previous minimum standards for residential and home-based care.

The registration standards for CSOs were published in the Victorian Government Gazette as a special edition on the 23 April 2007.
