Aboriginal family preservation
The Aboriginal family preservation works closely with families to address safety concerns and enhance parenting skills, thereby enabling the children to remain at home or, facilitating their reunification with family. Child Protection, Community Service Organisations and the Aboriginal Family Preservation Programs work together to ensure that the safety and well being needs of Aboriginal children are responded to in a way that is culturally engaged and strengthens the connectedness of family and community. There are Five Aboriginal Family Preservation Programs in Victoria.
