- A standards manual
- A Supporting Improvement kit
The Family Violence Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework:
Family Violence Common Risk Assessment Framework - released in July 2007
The Family Violence Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework is for application across Victorian Government funded family violence services, including police and courts and related services. The Framework is an important part of A Fairer Victoria initiative of $35.1million over four years, to improve responses to family violence incidents.
The Framework provides:
- a clear and transparent approach to the assessment of safety and risk in each family coming into contact with family violence services; consistent risk assessment processes;
- a standardised approach to risk assessment and risk management across service providers;
- an approach consistent with the whole of government reform objectives and initiatives already in place; and
- a risk assessment process which incorporates the approach used by Victoria Police in its risk assessment and risk management of family violence.
