Policy, Planning and Funding

The Children, Youth and Families division produces a three year policy and funding plan. The Plan supports the overall objective of being transparent, accountable and more openly communicative with its funded agencies and the community. Children Youth & Families services are comprised of the following output groups.

The Family and Community Support Output Group is comprised of the following three Outputs:

  • Support Services for Families
  • Community Support
  • Personal Support
The Youth Justice and Youth Services Output Group is comprised of the following two Outputs:
  • Youth Justice Community Based Services
  • Youth Justice Custodial Services
The Child Protection and Family Services Output Group is comprised of the following four Outputs:
  • Child Protection Specialist Services
  • Placement and Support Services
  • Family and Community Services
  • Statutory Child Protection Services
The Children Youth & Families division also administers the statewide program of Concessions to Pensioners and Beneficiaries. This is a separate Output Group that comprises:
  • Energy Concessions
  • Municipal Rates Concessions
  • Transport Concessions
  • Water and Sewerage Concessions
  • Trustee Services

In addition to the Children Youth and Families Policy and Funding Plan 2006-2009, an annual update is produced.
