The Victorian Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission are running a survey for young people under the age of 25 years. The Commission is interested in finding out how state and local government organisations allow young people to participate in their activities.
Every eligible person who participates in the survey goes in the prize draw to win a JB Hi Fi or Leading Edge voucher worth $350. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. The cut-off date for completing the survey is 26 September 2008.

LiveSmart is a new multilingual website to be launched in November 2008 that offers tips to help young people in Victoria on staying safe, managing their health and money, what their rights are, what support options are available to help them find a job, etc. Site information will be available in Dinka, Swahili, Arabic, Amharic and Karen.
LiveSmart is seeking stories from young people, particularly those living in regional centres about how they made a go of their new surrounds in Victoria. Stories must be received by 30 September 2008.

The Foundation for Young Australians is inviting applications for the Youth Change Makers program, which provides funding for young people to advocate for change in their community. Successful applicants will have identified a community issue and have developed a planned advocacy response, with their voice and actions. Grants of up to $10,000 are available to individuals or small groups of people between 12 and 25 years old.
